Setting Up Your Plan of Action Manual
The first step in preparing for the GAP Audit is to prepare a Plan of Action Manual. This manual is an organized way to help the grower to take a close look at the farm operation and assess its needs related to food safety.
Getting Started Three Ring Binder Your Plan of Action Manual will require a three ring notebook binder. A 2" heavy duty binder will be enough to collect all of your materials. If you need to, you may separate sections that you will use on a daily basis from the main binder. These might include your traceability section and crop protection records. Dividers Your manual is divided into eight sections. You will need dividers for each of the following sections: Sec. 1 Written Plan of Action Worksheets Sec. 2 Standard Operating Procedures Sec. 3 Log and Record Sheets Sec. 4 Supporting Documents Sec. 5 Traceability Records Sec. 6 Crop Protection Records Sec. 7 GAP Training Materials Sec. 8 Appendix |
